(Barrie, ON) — The list of candidates running in the 2026 Municipal Elections has now been certified by the City Clerk and is available at barrie.ca/electioncandidates. The list of certified candidates includes each candidate’s name and nomination filing date, along with any contact information they provided, such as their address, email, and social media accounts.
Voting in Barrie’s 2026 Municipal Election can be completed online or by phone. Voter information letters containing individual voting PINs and voting instructions will be mailed to residences in late September. The voting PIN is required to access and submit a ballot.
Residents who have not received their voter information letter by October 13, 2026, should call 705-728-8683 (VOTE) or email be.counted@barrie.ca. For residents requiring additional support, Voter Assistance Centres will be available in person on October 22, 23, 24 and 26. Locations and hours will be provided in the voter information letter.
Voting begins October 16, 2026, at 10 a.m. and closes October 26, 2026, at 8 p.m.
