The City is undertaking improvements to Hotchkiss Creek between the Barrie-Collingwood Railway (BCRY) and Tiffin Street. Improvements incorporated into the project have been identified in the City’s Drainage Master Plan.
The project includes replacing the deteriorated culvert that is beneath the BCRY, which extends toward Tiffin Street, with a larger structure to increase conveyance capacity and reduce the risk of potential flooding. The project will include enhancement to the natural habitat of the creek at either end of the culvert.
