A release of easement application is a document used to formally request the removal of an easement from a property's title that has been previously granted. An easement is a legal right to use another person's property for a specific purpose, such as access, utilities, or drainage. Easements are typically recorded in property records and are binding on the current and future property owners.

There are various reasons why you might want to release an easement, such as if the purpose for which the easement was granted is no longer relevant, to allow for development or a change of property use.
