In partnership with Doors Open Barrie, we invite you to visit the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Regimental Museum and discover the proud military heritage of our Regiment and the generations of men and women who have served our community and Canada.
Explore fascinating artifacts, uniforms, photographs, medals, and stories that bring more than a century of local military history to life.
Meet our knowledgeable volunteers, learn about the Regiment’s connections to Barrie and Simcoe County, and discover the stories behind the people who served in times of peace and conflict.
Come through our doors, explore our history, and help us keep the stories of those who served alive for future generations.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

Doors Open Barrie invites you to explore local sites of interest through free public tours on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Doors Open Barrie is hosted by Creative Barrie, part of the City's Recreation & Culture Services Department's culture branch, in partnership with the City’s Heritage Committee and the Ontario Heritage Trust. Doors Open Barrie is once again paired with City’s Culture Days programming, providing a unique opportunity to present free, hands-on arts activities in Doors Open sites, giving you a chance to learn about Barrie’s arts, heritage and business community.
