Since the start of the 2022–2026 term, Barrie City Council has prioritized upgrading and enhancing the City’s infrastructure to better serve residents today and into the future. Guided by Council’s 2022–2026 Strategic Plan – particularly the priority area of Infrastructure Investments – this term focuses on fixing aging roads, improving underground infrastructure, supporting active transportation, and making it easier for people to move around the city.
From neighbourhood reconstruction programs and road widenings to multi-year transportation improvement projects and stormwater upgrades, each project reflects a commitment to building a stronger, more connected, and more resilient Barrie.
