Maada'ookii Harvest Share

Harvest Share will bring the community together around food—sharing it, learning how we grow and use it, and exploring how we can waste less. The event will focus on practical ways to reduce food waste, enjoy more plant-forward meals, and better understand local food security challenges.  Bring your excess homegrown fruits and vegetables to Lampman Lane Park between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Our volunteers will sort and deliver your donations to the Barrie Native Friendship Centre, where they’ll be canned, dehydrated and prepared to share with the Hunger to Hope Program.  While you’re there, stick around for some great free presentations in the community room between 9am and noon.
