Welcome to "You and a Few: Secret Location Neo Soul Music Event ". You wont know exactly where the event location will be until 1 week before the event, but it will be a cozy, music culture-rich event that brings the spirit and history of Neo Soul from black music culture to life through live performances!
This night is all about soulful energy—smooth grooves, warm vocals, poetry and lyrical storytelling that feels personal but yet can be experienced in a room of just a few other people. Inspired by the vibes of icons like D’Angelo, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu, trust that it will be a relaxed safe and inclusive atmosphere where music isn’t just heard, it’s felt, shared, and experienced together. We may even have a jam session!
This activity is funded by the City of Barrie for Culture Days 2026.
Performers
DESIIRE
DESIIRE is a Congolese-Canadian artist that blends the world of Afro, R&B and Electronic to provide a global sound full of infectious energy and mood. His aim is to create a space for all to feel strength and empowerment through and with African music and sound.
Over the past few years, he has amassed more than 12 millions streams globally and has been featured in Billboard, The Fader, Afropunk, MTV, SPIN and has graced the stage at festivals such as NXNE, Manifesto, Pop Montreal, Luminato, Canadian Music Week, Toronto Pride as well as venues such as The National Arts Center, Yonge & Dundas Square, Nathan Phillips Square, Royal Ontario Museum amongst others. His live presence has led him to open for artists such as Ari Lennox, Lion Babe and Mykki Blanco.
He continues his journey with the release of his latest project “ NIRVANA “ out now.

Bianca Bridge
Bianca Bridge is a Toronto based multidisciplinary artist whose sound moves between Hip Hop, R&B, Neo Soul and Jazz. Through soulful melodies, rhythmic storytelling and honest lyricism, she explores identity, self discovery, confidence and personal evolution.
Rooted in her connection to her ancestors and the lineage of Black music, Bianca brings both contemporary and traditional influences into her artistry, creating music that feels personal, intentional and uniquely her own.
Her recent work, including C0D3 C0LD, ST1LL and UNKN0WN, reflects her continued evolution as an artist and her exploration of deeper emotional and sonic spaces.

Cassie
Cassie is an up-and-coming vocalist with a deep love for music and a passion for singing everything from neo-soul and jazz to beautifully written, well-crafted songs. She’s always creating; whether she’s practicing vocals, exploring new artists, or performing for friends and community. When she’s not in the studio, Cassie can be found singing around Simcoe County, bringing warmth, soulful energy, and a genuine joy for music wherever she goes.
