(Barrie, ON) – The City of Barrie is working with Oraclepoll Research to conduct a statistically-valid phone poll of residents to gather feedback on key questions related to the 2027 Business Plan & Budget. Starting tomorrow, November 3, a random selection of residents aged 18+ from all wards will be contacted to take part.
The budget outlines how the City will fund services, programs and infrastructure that residents rely on every day. Barrie’s property taxes remain among the lowest of major municipalities in southern Ontario.
The phone poll will take an estimated five to seven minutes to complete, and both landlines and cell phone numbers will be called. All individual responses will be kept confidential, and residents won’t be asked to give any personal information, or any payment or banking information.
Residents who receive a call are encouraged to take part. Input will be shared with Council as part of the 2027 Business Plan & Budget process.
Subject to Council's discussions, the City services portion of the 2027 Business Plan & Budget is scheduled to be approved on February 3, 2027.
