Construction Industry Job Fair to take place May 7

(Barrie, ON) – The City of Barrie and the Barrie Construction Association have partnered to host a Construction Industry Job Fair on Wednesday, May 7 at the Allandale Recreation Centre (190 Bayview Drive, Barrie) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This event invites job seekers to learn more about available career opportunities and make connections with local employers who are hiring in the construction industry.

Whether you're just starting your career, looking to switch industries, or bringing years of experience, there are opportunities for all skill levels. The potential available positions to apply for at the job fair include the following:

  • General & Skilled Labourer
  • Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers
  • Network Cabling Specialists and Alarm System Technicians
  • Inspectors & Construction Inspectors/Contract Administrators
  • Traffic Control Persons, General Labourers, Operators, A & D Licensed Drivers
  • AZ Drivers, Haul Truck Drivers, Plant Operators
  • Project Coordinators, Carpenters, Machine Operators
  • Electricians and Electrical Apprentices
  • Water-tech/General Labourer, Cleaners, Carpenters
  • Labourer/Skilled Labourer/Framer Helper/Framer

There will be more than 14 employers represented at the Construction Industry Job Fair that are looking to hire. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. 

Entry to the job fair is free and pre-registration is not required.
