(Barrie, ON) The City of Barrie is accepting nominations for the 2025 Order of the Spirit Catcher Awards for outstanding Barrie volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy to help others and enhance the city.
The Order of the Spirit Catcher Awards are the highest honour bestowed by the City to volunteers who have made important contributions to our community. The awards celebrate their selfless dedication to making a positive difference in our city.
Established in 2000, the Order of the Spirit Catcher recognizes outstanding community contributions. This year, the youth and adult award categories are returning, along with a new category to honour seniors. Nominees must be Barrie residents and demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:
- An individual who has selflessly devoted their time and energy to help others;
- Has made a significant long-term contribution to the lifestyle of the community and;
- Through exceptional achievement, has benefited others and brought honour to the City of Barrie.
