TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the City of Barrie is in receipt of a complete application as of Tuesday, September 03, 2019 for a proposed Official Plan Amendment and Amendment to the Zoning By-law.
TAKE NOTICE that KLM Planning Partners Inc. on behalf of 2596843 Ontario Inc. has submitted complete applications for an Official Plan Amendment and Amendment to the Zoning By-law for lands located at 224 & 250 Ardagh Road. The property is legally described as Part of Block 264 Plan 51M-371, Parts 1-3 Plan 51R-33187, and Part 4 Plan 51R-24641, City of Barrie and is located within the Ardagh Secondary Planning Area.
About the applications
KLM Planning Partners Inc., on behalf of 2596843 Ontario Inc., has requested consideration of a change to the Official Plan designation for that portion of the 250 Ardagh Road declared surplus by the City, from Institutional to General Commercial, as well as provide site specific provisions for the General Commercial designation over the entire land holdings to permit high density residential and stand-alone residential uses. A Zoning By-law Amendment application has also been submitted to change the land use from Institutional (I) for that portion of 250 Ardagh Road declared surplus, and provide the entire land holdings with a General Commercial zone with special provisions (C4)(SP-XXX) to facilitate the proposed development of the site for a (6) storey mixed use building with commercial space and 50 apartments, and 31 townhouses.

Public Meeting to be scheduled
A public meeting will be scheduled at a later date at which time any person may make representation at a public meeting, however, written submissions to Legislative and Court Services are encouraged. Notification of the Amendment to the Zoning By-law if adopted by Council will be provided upon written request to the City Clerk or to the undersigned.
Anyone can attend the meeting to share their views about this matter; however written submissions are encouraged and should be directed to Legislative & Court Services.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of The City of Barrie before the Draft Plan of Subdivision and Rezoning is passed:The person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Corporation of The City of Barrie to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal ; andmay not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie in respect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Amendment to the Zoning By-law, you must make a written submission to the undersigned and the Planning and Building Services Department.
