_TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the City of Barrie is in receipt of a complete application as of Thursday, January 16, 2020 for a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law.

TAKE NOTICE that Celeste Phillips Planning Inc. on behalf of 428 Ontario Inc. has submitted a complete application for an Amendment to the Zoning By-law for lands located at428 Little Ave. The property is legally described as Part of Lot 12, Concession 14 and Part of Lot 46, Registered Plan 1355, City of Barrie and is located within the Painswick North Secondary Planning Area. 

About the application

The application proposes to amend the zoning by-law of the subject lands from Residential Hold (RH), Residential Single Detached Dwelling (R1), (R2), (R3 and (R4) to Residential Multiple Family Dwelling, Second Density, (RM2).  The application if approved would facilitate the development of a multi-residential condominium development consisting of 50 townhouse units.  The units are to be three stories in height with frontage on a private single loaded road that would connect to Foster Drive to the north and Little Avenue to the south.  The property is approximately 2 hectares in size.

Public Meeting to be scheduled

A public meeting will be scheduled at a later date at which time any person may make representation at a public meeting, however, written submissions to Legislative and Court Services are encouraged.  Notification of the Amendment to the Zoning By-law if adopted by Council will be provided upon written request to the City Clerk or to the undersigned.

Anyone can attend the meeting to share their views about this matter; however written submissions are encouraged and should be directed to Legislative & Court Services.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of The City of Barrie before the Draft Plan of Subdivision and Rezoning is passed:The person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Corporation of The City of Barrie to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal ; andmay not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie in respect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Amendment to the Zoning By-law, you must make a written submission to the undersigned and the Planning and Building Services Department.
