TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the City of Barrie intends to rename Berczy Street Park to Charlie O’Connor Park.
The name “Charlie O’Connor” has been requested to recognize Charles O’Connor, the longtime owner of The Ideal Shoe Store a footwear retailer that was located in the area of Berzy Street Park and served Barrie residents for over 50 years.
If you wish to make a submission or for more information regarding this matter, please provide it in writing to the undersigned by October 18, 2025.
