The StudyThe City of Barrie is undertaking a Schedule “B" Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to evaluate alternatives for the Whiskey Creek Drainage Improvements at Minet's Point. The study is looking at Whiskey Creek between The Boulevard and Kempenfelt Bay.See study limits. This EA Study will:Assess the drainage deficiencies and issues identified in the study area;Develop alternative solutions considered to address these deficiencies/issues; andEvaluate the alternatives and develop a preferred solution to be implemented moving forward.Public Information Centre (PIC)
The purpose of the PIC is to present the directly affected and interested persons/groups/agencies with an overview of the project needs and opportunities, the current status of the Study and the preliminary results of the alternative evaluation for mitigating flooding within the study area.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the City of Barrie will be conducting this PIC virtually. The public will have the opportunity to provide input and watch the presentation digitally.
A copy of the draft Environmental Study Report (ESR) and the PIC presentation will be available for review on February 3, 2021, and thereafter on the City's website at barrie.ca/EAstudies (under Whiskey Creek Drainage Improvements at Minet's Point).

Public comments and concerns regarding this project are welcomed between Wednesday, February 3, 2021 and Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Members of public will also have the opportunity to ask questions and /or provide comments at the pre-scheduled virtual Public Meeting, Question and Answer (Q&A) sessions online through Microsoft Teams:Tuesday, February 9, 2021, 5–7pmTuesday, February 16, 2021, 5–7pm
