_TAKE NOTICE that General Committee will hold a Public Meeting on:

Monday, September 9, 2019 at 7 p.m. 

City Hall Council Chamber

70 Collier Street, Barrie_

Open House

Immediately prior to the Public Meeting, an Open House will be held in the City Hall Rotunda from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.  Planning staff, the applicant and/or their consultant will be available to discuss the application and review the proposed plans. The Open House is drop-in style with intended to be an informal drop-in with no formal presentations.  No decisions on the proposal will be made at the Open House or the Public Meeting._

About the application

The applicant is proposing to rezone the lands to Neighbourhood Residential Multiple Zone (RM3) with special provisions to permit the development of 9 street townhouses, 44 back-to-back townhouse units, and a 12 metres laneway. The special provisions are requested to permit a minimum lot frontage of 4.5 metres, a maximum number of contiguous units of 10, and a maximum height of 4 storeys.

Anyone can attend the meeting to share their views about this matter; however written submissions are encouraged and should be directed to Legislative & Court Services by Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of The City of Barrie before the Draft Plan of Subdivision and Rezoning is passed:

a) _The person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Corporation of The City of Barrie to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal ; and

b) May not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
