_TAKE NOTICE of a decision of the Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie to adopt Motion 19-G-263 on October 1, 2019 pursuant to the provisions of Section 32 (1) of The Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, CHAP.O.18.
The proposed repeal of Heritage Designation By-law 90-230 is owner initiated with respect to the property known municipally as70 High Street for the purposes of removing the heritage designation placed on 70 High Street. Heritage Designation By-law 90-230 was to only include the property known municipally as 72 High Street, also known as 'Maplehurst'. However, the adjacent property at 70 High Street was included inadvertently in the designating By-law.
A By-law will be adopted on a later date by Council that will designate only the property known municipally as 72 High Street 'Maplehurst' as property of cultural heritage value or interest.
Any person may serve the Clerk of the Corporation of the City of Barrie a notice of objection to the repeal of the By-law, or a part of a By-law, designating property as property of cultural heritage value or interest no later than Wednesday, April 15, 2020 accompanied by the reason(s) for objecting.
