City celebrates Seniors Month

(Barrie, ON) – June is recognized as Seniors Month in Ontario. The month is dedicated to recognizing older adults and the contributions they have made to our community. This year will mark the 42nd anniversary of celebrating seniors and the tremendous contribution they make to the spirit of the City of Barrie.

“Barrie’s seniors have helped shape the vibrant community we’re proud to call home,” said Mayor Alex Nuttall. “Their contributions are woven into every part of our city, and their experience and dedication continue to inspire us all. Seniors Month is an opportunity to celebrate their lasting impact and to recognize the important role they play through the many programs and activities offered by the City that reflect our deep appreciation for all they do.”
