Take Notice of a Decision of the Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie to adopt By-law Number 2026-072 on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 pursuant to the provisions of Section 17(23) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, and pursuant of O. Reg. 198/96(3).
The purpose of this Official Plan Amendment is to add policies to the City of Barrie Official Plan to designate the entirety of the Allandale Major Transit Station Area (MTSA) as a community planning permit system (CPPS) area, and that all new development in this area shall be regulated by a community planning permit (CPP) by-law with additional policies pertaining to intent of the CPP by law and connecting to specific development-related objectives of the MTSA and the Official Plan’s “Planning a Cultural City” policies being included in this Official Plan Amendment.
IF YOU WISH TO APPEAL the decision of the City of Barrie to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) in respect to the By-law, you may do so within twenty (20) days of the issuance of this notice by filing a Notice of Appeal via the OLT e-file at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service/ by selecting [City of Barrie] as the Approval Authority or by mail to the City Clerk – City of Barrie, no later than 4:30 p.m. on or before Monday, July 13, 2026 . The filing of an appeal after 4:30 p.m., in person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day.
