The new Building By-law is a necessary and proactive measure to modernize the City’s building permit and inspection framework. It ensures alignment with current provincial legislation, enhances clarity and consistency in administration, supports digital service deliver (permitting tools), and strengthens transparency and accountability. Together, these updates will enhance service delivery to residents and the development industry while reinforcing the City’s commitment to public safety and regulatory compliance.

- Requirements previously contained in 2013-070 & 82-45 by-laws have been repealed.
