Cool off at Barrie Fire’s Hot Summer Nights events

(Barrie, ON) - Barrie Fire and Emergency Service (BFES) will host two free Hot Summer Nights events this summer, each running from 6 to 8 p.m.: Thursday, July 30 at Sunnidale Park (265 Sunnidale Road) and Thursday, August 27 at Madelaine Park (90 Madelaine Drive).

Designed for families with children, everyone is welcome to join the fun and cool off under the spray from BFES trucks. Participate in family-friendly activities, learn lifesaving fire safety tips, and take tours of the fire trucks.

Additional event features include:

  • Mini combat challenge obstacle course
  • Story time with Sparky
  • Barrie Recreation’s Summer Fun Trailer
  • Barrie Police Service and Simcoe County Paramedic Services education tent
  • Inflatables featuring a mini obstacle course and bouncy castle
  • Nature play activities with Barrie’s Nature Play Trailer
  • Fire safety games and prizes

Domino’s Pizza will also be on site selling slices for $3 each, with proceeds going to the BFES charity fund, which gives back to local community and charitable groups. The KOOL FM events team will be live on scene with music, games and giveaways!
