NASA Space Apps Challenge 2026

Create, explore, learn, and build together with your friends, classmates, and peers! Join thousands of innovators around the world to solve real-world problems using open data from space science agencies.

The NASA Space Apps Challenge is an annual event that unites coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others in cities around the world. Participants dive headfirst into collaborative projects, working with NASA’s free and open data, to tackle innovative solutions to challenges we face on Earth and in space. Whether you’re a space enthusiast, a seasoned coder, or just have a knack for problem-solving, there’s a place for you in the Space Apps Challenge.

Lakehead University along with local collaborators is calling on individuals and teams from across Simcoe County, Muskoka, and beyond, to join us for this year's local Space Apps Challenge.
