About the Proposed Development

Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments have been approved to facilitate the development of one 16-storey, purpose-built rental, apartment building with 400 residential dwelling units.  

The Official Plan Amendment (OPA 5) amends Section 4.8 - Defined Policy Area to permit a 16-storey residential apartment building. The zoning by-law amendment rezones the subject lands to ‘Residential Apartment Dwelling Second Density-2 with Special Provisions’ (RA2-2)(SP-684)(H-171) and 'Environmental Protection’ (EP). Special provisions reduce the interior side yard and rear yard setbacks, landscape open space and landscape buffer area, and increase the gross floor area, the lot coverage and the building height.
