| Waterfront 10pm | Fireworks show visible from multiple vantage points along the waterfront. Heritage Park will be closed to the public for safety during the show. |
Getting Around
Barrie Transit
On July 1, Barrie Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule, with extended evening service to accommodate the fireworks display. The last buses will depart the Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal and the Downtown Hub after the fireworks display (approximately 10:30pm). Parking
The Chase McEachern Way Parking Lot (9 Chase McEachern Way) and the south end of the Centennial Beach Lot (61 Lakeshore Drive) will be closed on July 1 to accommodate the Canada Day celebrations.
Downtown parking (on-street and lots) is free on statutory holidays, including July 1. Waterfront parking is enforced 24/7/365. A digital waterfront parking permit is required to park for free at specific waterfront areas. The Spirit Catcher, Simcoe Street Lot and North Marina parking lots are hybrid lots, with rates consistent with waterfront parking rates (enforced 24/7/365); the waterfront parking permit is not valid in these lots. Road Closure
Road closures on Dunlop St. will be in place on July 1 for Open Air Dunlop (presented by the Downtown BIA).
