The City is replacing four existing retaining walls along Sunnidale Road, extending from Wellington to the Highway 400 bridge. These walls are located in front of residential properties, spanning between driveways. The structures have reached the end of their service life and exhibit significant deterioration. A structural assessment confirmed the walls require full replacement.
Project Updates

Construction will commence in May and will be completed in July 2026. The retaining walls will be reconstructed and affected boulevards will be restored. A May 2026 information bulletin has been delivered to area residents. Sunnidale will remain open during construction and minimal traffic delays are expected.

Affected Services
Sanitary sewers, water, hydro, telephone, cable TV, and gas services should not be affected by this work, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Access Impacts
Vehicle access to properties within the project limits will be provided at almost all times during the work.
