The City of Barrie annually introduces new furniture in parkland as part of the Waterfront Furniture Program.
In 2026, new loungers will be added to the existing collection around the waterfront. Two lounger sets will be added to the Tiffin Boat Launch Park (105 Lakeshore Drive) along the pedestrian walkway, and one lounger set will be installed in Dock Road Park (199 Dock Road). The project will be implemented in two phases:

Impacts to the Public
The impact to the public occurs during the concrete pouring, as parts of the pathway may be temporarily closed off to allow construction trucks to excavate the site. The sites will be enclosed by construction fencing to secure the curing of the concrete. The furniture comes preassembled and should have no impact on the public during installation.
