Apply for the Upcoming Term
The City is seeking applications from members of the public interested in serving on the Business Licensing Appeal Committee during the 2027–2030 Council term. Committee and board mandates may be updated as required during the Council term. The City is seeking up to 5 citizen members. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 6, 2026, at 4:30pm.
The Business Licensing Appeal Committee was established to hear appeals from applicants who were denied a Business Licence or had their Business Licence suspended or revoked.
Objective
The Committee makes decisions on appeals that are filed with the City Clerk by an applicant/licensee within 15 days of the Issuer of Licences refusing to issue, suspend, or revoke a Business Licence.
Composition
The composition of the Committee consists of 5 citizen members appointed by City Council at the being of each term of office.
