(Barrie, ON) – The City of Barrie is pleased to announce the early completion of the Big Bay Point Watermain Lining project, with all lanes now open – several weeks ahead of the anticipated December 2025 completion.
The project included lining 1,200 metres of an existing 500mm diameter concrete pressure pipe watermain on Big Bay Point Road between Bayview and Huronia, due to deterioration.
“We appreciate the cooperation of residents and businesses throughout this project and thank the contractor for their excellent work in completing the lining ahead of schedule,” said Sherry Diemert, Director of Infrastructure. “Completing this work early helps ensure reliable water service for the community and minimizes future disruptions.”
