TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to By-law Number 2022-042, being a By-law of the Corporation of the City of Barrie to provide for the delegation of authority to remove a Holding (H) Symbol from Zoning By-law 2023-063 as per Section 36(4) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13.

THE SUBJECT LANDS are legally described as: Part Lot 5, Lots 6, 7, 8 & 9, Part Lot 10 and Lot 11, S/S Jacobs Terrace, Plan 30 (Allandale), as in RO488421 & RO416404, in the City of Barrie, municipally known as: 17 & 27 Jacobs Terrace. The subject lands are zoned C2-2(SP-635)(H-157) as per Zoning By-law 2023-063 and are shown on the key map below.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the removal of the Holding (H) Symbol from the subject lands is to allow the Owner/Applicant to develop the lands in accordance with current By-law standards by permitting the proposed development of two (2) residential towers, 24 and 26 storeys in height, with a total of 565 units. (Related File: D30-013-2021). The Holding (H) Symbol relates to the requirement for the owner/applicant to undertake and agree to satisfy the requirements of a Certificate of Property Use and/or Record of Site Condition, as accepted by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks under the Environmental Protection Act, prior to any site works or issuance of a building permit.
