TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to By-law Number 2022-042, being a By-law of the Corporation of the City of Barrie to provide for the delegation of authority to remove a Holding (H) Symbol from Zoning By-law 2020-016 as per Section 36(4) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13.

THE SUBJECT LANDS are described as: Part of South Half of Lot 1, Concession 11 (Innisfil), Being Parts 1, 2 and 3 on Plan 51R-35542, in the City of Barrie. The subject lands are zoned Neighbourhood Residential (R5), Neighbourhood Residential Multiple (RM3), Neighbourhood Residential Multiple – Hold No. 146 (RM3)(H-146), Educational Institutional – Special Provision No. 584 (I-E)(SP-584), Convenience Commercial (C5), Open Space (OS) and, Environmental Protection (EP) as per Zoning By-law 2020-016 and are shown on the key map and zoning schedules below.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the removal of the Holding (H) Symbol from the subject lands is to allow the Owner/Applicant to develop the lands in accordance with current By-law standards by permitting the proposed development of residential uses on a medium density residential block on a draft approved plan of subdivision, which is currently zoned Neighbourhood Residential Multiple – Hold No. 146 (RM3)(H-146) (Related Files: D14-1665 and D12-443). The Holding (H) Symbol relates to the requirement for the issuance of an archaeological clearance from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport to permit residential development on the subject lands.
