TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Barrie has passed By-law Number 2026-024 on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 pursuant to the provision of Section 34(18) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P.13.

AND TAKE NOTICE that By-law Number 2026-024 is in accordance with Direction Number MDIR002-26, under Bill 3, the Strong Mayors, Building Homes Act, 2022, in accordance with subsections 284.11.1(1)(b) and 284.11.1(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

IF YOU WISH TO APPEAL the decision of the City of Barrie to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) in respect to the By-law, you may do so within twenty (20) days of the issuance of this notice by filing a Notice of Appeal via the OLT e-file at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service/ by selecting [City of Barrie] as the Approval Authority or by mail to the City Clerk – City of Barrie, no later than 4:30 p.m. on or before Wednesday, April 15, 2026 . The filing of an appeal after 4:30 p.m., in person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day. If the efile portal is down, you can submit your appeal to: OLT.submissions@barrie.ca. Please consult the Ontario Land Tribunal’s website (https://olt.gov.on.ca/) or call 1-866-448-2248 for further information regarding how to file an appeal.
