Residents on Marta Crescent and Kierland Road have experienced persistent standing water along the rear of their properties over the past several years. These residential lots back onto a section of the Bear Creek Wetland, located north of Summerset Drive, which is designated as a Provincially Significant Wetland. To mitigate the risk of future flooding of the residents' backyards, this project will regrade the affected rear yards adjacent to the wetland.

Phase 2 Scope & Limits
To prevent future flooding into the resident’s backyards of #19 to #43 Marta Crescent and #51 to #57 Kierland Road, the following work will be completed:
- Removal of temporary sand bag cofferdam
- Removal and replacement of chain-link fence
- Removal and reinstatement of side yard fence where required
- Backyard regrading (fill) to existing flood elevations
- Tree removals and replacement as required
- Various backyard feature removal and reinstatement as required

Impacted Services
Services such as Bell, Rogers, Enbridge and Alectra should not be affected.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal.
Access to Properties
All reasonable efforts will be made to maintain vehicle access to driveways. However, there may be some temporary interruptions to access during construction. Access will be restored as quickly as possible. Advanced notification will be provided to property owners prior to any driveway access restriction. Pedestrian access will be maintained during construction.
