A new bridge will be constructed at the crossing of Dunlop Street Road over Highway 400. This construction project is being led by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) as part of the replacement of three bridges on Highway 400 at Dunlop Street, Anne Street and Sunnidale Road.

Project Updates

May 5, 2025

The MTO has awarded the project to Dufferin Construction Company (Dufferin).

Dufferin will start their work on Dunlop Street next week. The overall project, which includes impacts to Dunlop Street and Highway 400 is expected to take four years to complete. The anticipated completion is fall 2028.

In the coming weeks, there will be intermittent traffic interruptions on Dunlop Street from Hart to Cedar Pointe, while the work zone is delineated over the existing bridge. Generally, traffic will be maintained along Dunlop Street throughout construction.

Project updates, including road closure information, will be provided as work progresses.
