Pavement management programs focus on applying the right pavement maintenance strategy to the right road, at the right time. A holding strategy is a reactive approach to pavement management.
Roads applicable to holding strategies generally have proposed construction phases in future years of the Capital Plan. Relatively minor investments are made to hold the road over until the full reconstruction project takes place.
Information bulletins are mailed to impacted residences and businesses ahead of construction, providing information specific to the impacted street.

Davidson Street (Grove to Gunn)
Concrete work is complete. Existing asphalt has been removed. Driveway and boulevard restorations are ongoing. The contractor is schedule to install base and surface asphalt next week. Residents directly affected by this work will receive advance notice prior to construction activities occurring in front of their properties. All work along Davidson Street is scheduled to be complete by August 28.
Newton Street (Grove to Gunn)
Concrete work is complete. Existing asphalt is scheduled to be removed on August 24. Base asphalt is scheduled to be complete next week. Driveway and boulevard restorations to follow.
Berczy Street (Gunn to Penetang)
