The City has made playground improvements at East Bayfield Park, located at 99 Hanmer Street East. The intent was to rethink the existing playground area, enhance accessibility to the space, plan for all new play and gathering structures, and any additional site works to improve the usability of the space.

Construction of the new playground area at East Bayfield Park was completed in summer 2025.
