About the Proposed Development

A Zoning By-law Amendment is proposed on the consolidated properties with two (2) Phases and the first Phase includes two six storey residential towers with a combined 468 purpose-built rental apartment units. Access to the site is from Ashford Drive and Montgomery Drive with 336 parking spaces and 416 bicycle parking spaces proposed.

The Zoning By-law Amendment application proposes to rezone the Phase 1 lands from ‘Residential Single Detached Dwelling First Density (R1)’ to ‘Residential Apartment Dwelling Two with Special Provisions’ (RA2) (SP-XXX) in the City of Barrie Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2009-141. 

The Phase 2 lands are proposed to be rezoned from ‘Residential Single Detached Dwelling First Density (R1)’ to ‘Residential Apartment Dwelling Two, Hold (RA2)(H-XX)’ in the City of Barrie Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2009-141. No special provisions are proposed for the Phase 2 lands through this application.
