This Mindfulness in the Garden session offers a peaceful pause to breathe, notice your surroundings, and reconnect with nature. With gentle guidance, you slow down, tune into your senses, and leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more grounded. Join Farmer Kim, from Moondance Organics at the Lampman Community garden for this experience. This is a free event! Pre-registration is required, as spots are limited (first come, first served).
Kim Keckes, from Moondance Organic Farm is a local farm girl who came back to growing food as a way to provide fresh, nutritious food to her community. She has been growing a market garden for the last 20+ years, a journey of learning, community engagement and joy.
Meet at the community garden behind the community centre close to the basketball court. Washrooms and parking are available on site. Please dress for the weather, wear layers and bring anything you would need to be comfortable. Please bring a folding chair if possible.
Parks Wellness Weekend: Serenity Saturday
This event is part of the Parks Wellness Weekend. The Parks Wellness Weekend offers free opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities to learn new and proven ways to improve their personal wellness through connecting with nature. The Parks Wellness Weekend is inspired by the work of PaRx in Canada and Ontario which provides tools to healthcare professionals to adopt the evidence-based trend of incorporating parks prescriptions as a powerful new tool into an individual’s overall healthcare plan.
