Nature in Winter

Nature in Winter is an event for people of all ages to participate in fun and educational activities in the winter, encourage people to learn about nature, increase well-being, and leverage the winter experience that our parks can offer. With activities both outside in the park and inside at the Dorian Parker Centre, there is something for everyone!

• Speaking of Wildlife: Get up close with our native Ontario wildlife ambassadors.
• Barrie Public Library: Get cozy while using the Library of Things bird watching kits. There will also be wooden block fun and nature activities for kids.
• Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority: Learn about birds and other wildlife.
• Forest Bathing with Beth (Registration Required): Bask in the healing benefits of the forest with Beth Foster. This activity begins at 12:30pm. Register to participate.
• Monica Loney: Help create the interactive pop-up public art installation Weaving Circles.
