With a municipal election on the way later this year, now is the time to get engaged with your community and work to create the change you want to see. In this lively panel discussion, the Barrie Public Library's CEO Lauren Jessop will sit down with three local women who made the commitment to become political changemakers.

We'll discuss:

  • What they see as the challenges and opportunities for women in politics
  • Stories from the campaign trail and what motivated them to seek office
  • Tips and information for those who want to pursue their own political path

Panelists will Include:

  • Jennifer Armstrong - Co-Founder of Politics for Women; Honorary Colonel, Canadian Forces Base Borden
  • Ann-Marie Kungl - Ward 3 Councillor for Barrie
  • Amy Courser - Ward 4 Councillor for Barrie and BPL Board Member (Council Representative)
