Rules that must be followed for admittance into the pool for drop-in swimming programs:
- Children under 6 years of age, or any non-swimmer under 10 years old, will not be admitted to the swimming pool unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who is responsible for their direct supervision, at a ratio of two patrons to each parent or guardian. If PFD/Lifejackets are worn the ratio for 6-9 year olds can be 1:6
- Guardians or group leaders must be 15 years of age or older.
- Parents and/or guardians must be within arms reach in the water at all times.
- Children under 10 years of age who do pass the facility swimming test must have a guardian within the pool enclosure. (Viewing gallery)
- Deep end tests are required for those 14 and under and consists of a full width of the shallow end of the pool, face must be in the water (breathing when needed), with big arm circles coming out of the water.
- Those with serious medical conditions (ie. Heart conditions or seizure disorders) should be accompanied by an individual knowledgeable of their condition and must communicate with staff prior to activity.
