This project includes the design, supply, and installation of a permanent emergency standby power generator at the Surface Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) Low Lift Pumping Station (LLPS), located at 23 Camelot Square.
The existing electrical cable connecting the SWTP to the LLPS has deteriorated, requiring the use of a temporary onsite standby generator to the LLPS to ensure continuous delivery of drinking water to residents and businesses during power outages.
The new generator will be equipped with sound attenuation features and housed in an acoustically insulated enclosure to minimize noise. It will operate only during emergencies or periodic testing, which will be scheduled during daytime hours.
