Construction on Mapleview Drive East from Madelaine Drive to Yonge Street is progressing well. A temporary lane was added on September 21 to allow for two lanes of traffic.
As the project progresses, drivers should be aware of the following upcoming closures:
- Access to Dean Avenue from Mapleview Drive East will be closed off from October 12 to December 17. This is due to a grade difference between the existing Mapleview Drive and Dean Avenue that will prevent vehicular access until the north side is completed.
- Access to Goodwin Drive from Mapleview Drive East will be closed from October 21 to December 17. Similar to Dean Avenue, this is due to the underground infrastructure works and the grade difference between the existing Mapleview road and Goodwin Drive.
August 11, 2021
Lane closures will begin today (Wednesday, August 11). During construction (between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday to Friday), Mapleview Drive East from Madeline Drive to Yonge Street will be restricted to one lane. Two lanes will open at night and on weekends.
