Relining of watermain, storm sewer and sanitary sewer along Queen Street, from Berczy to St. Vincent, including road resurfacing and concrete curb replacement.

This project helps extend the life of aging underground infrastructure, minimizes long-term maintenance costs, reduces risk of emergency repairs and disruptions in the future.

Project Features

Work includes:

  • Watermain CIPP relining 
  • Sanitary sewer repair and relining
  • Storm sewer relining
  • Sidewalk replacement
  • Reconstructing the road including asphalt removal and replacement, curb removal and replacement, and as necessary, repairs to the sidewalk
  • Upgrades to street lighting

  • Construction: 2028–2029

Construction Impacts

During construction, water and sanitary sewer services will be interrupted for a short period of time. Advance notice of the service interruptions will be provided.

Hydro, telephone, cable TV, and gas services should not be affected by the construction, barring any unforeseen circumstances. 

About Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining

Cured in place pipe lining is a method of extending the life of an underground pipe, by inserting a sleeve that cures into a new structural pipe in the same position of an existing pipe. This allows installation of a new pipe without digging a trench.
