Game On! Presents World Cup Esports Tournament

The City of Barrie presents Game On! World Cup Esports Tournament. The event is being held in partnership with Bradford West Gwillimbury, Collingwood, Innisfil, Orillia, Oro‑Medonte, Penetanguishene and Tiny Township, and is being delivered virtually by online interactive gaming entertainment company, We Got Game.

This event is intended for youth and young adults aged 14–24, with familiarity with playing FC26 online with others, and who have used Discord before. Parental consent is required for participants under the age of 18.

The online and in-person tournaments are being hosted by professional FC 26 esports player Snipeshot5000. 

Online Virtual Qualifiers: May 29–June 1

Ready to represent your municipality on the virtual pitch? The World Cup Esports Tournament is bringing youth players together for a regional EA Sports FC 2026 showdown!

Players from Barrie, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Collingwood, Innisfil, Orillia, Oro‑Medonte, Penetanguishene and Tiny Township can register to compete in online municipal qualifiers. Registration is capped at 96 participants per municipality, with additional players placed on a waitlist.

Please register by May 22 using your municipality's link below. Note: The date and time shown on the registration links are placeholders only and do not reflect your actual match time. After registering, participants will be assigned a tournament slot by organizers, scheduled between May 29 and June 1.

Requirements to Participate

• Players must have the following to participate in the online qualifier:
  • A new-gen gaming console (PS5, Xbox, PC)
  • FC26 game
  • Online access
  • Discord account
• Parental consent is required for participants under the age of 18.
• Online qualifying rounds can be played from area of your choice. The online tournament is heavily dependent on online knowledge of game and use of Discord, which is a must. Tournament organizers have the right to remove players for lack of knowledge, communication or missing parental consent.
• The top players from each municipality will be invited to play in the in-personal finals at Five Points Theatre on Friday, June 26. Finalists must be able to provide proof of residency to confirm their finalist position.

The online and in-person tournaments are being hosted by professional FC 26 esports player Snipeshot5000. Recognized as one of Canada’s top competitive FC players, Snipeshot5000 is currently ranked second in Canada and has competed on some of the world’s biggest esports stages. 

His accomplishments include being a two-time Toronto FC Champion, Top 49 at the Esports World Cup, and serving as a professional player for Columbus Crew. With extensive competitive experience and a passion for growing the gaming community, Snipeshot5000 will help bring excitement, energy, and high-level gameplay to this regional World Cup celebration.
