(Barrie, ON) – The City of Barrie has launched a new electronic agenda management system called eScribe. eScribe is designed to make accessing City Council and Committee meeting information easier and more user-friendly. The system provides residents, media, and stakeholders with quick access to agendas, minutes, reports and details about the legislative process.
eScribe features a simplified calendar view, improved navigation, and full accessibility compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Members of the public and media do not need to register to use the system.
The new system is replacing Legistar, which has been used since 2001 and will soon be phased out. Like its predecessor, eScribe provides a searchable database that makes it easy for residents to access agendas, minutes, official documents, and track decisions from 2021 to the present.
