Barrie Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters is a modern facility that serves as Barrie's central hub for fire operations, with administrative offices, training facilities and operational units. Designed with both functionality and community engagement in mind, the Headquarters features contemporary architecture and a museum. It also plays a key role in coordinating fire prevention, public safety education and emergency response.
Doors Open Barrie is supported by Creative Barrie, the cultural development branch of the Economic & Creative Development Department. This year, Doors Open Barrie is incorporated into the City’s Culture Days programming. When paired with Culture Days, it provides a unique opportunity to present free, hands-on arts activities in Doors Open sites, giving residents and visitors a chance to learn about Barrie’s arts, heritage and business community.
