Doors Open Barrie | Barrie South Simcoe Metis Council

The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) represents over 28,000 registered citizens and delivers a full suite of programs and services through 30-plus offices provincewide. Here at the Barrie-South Simcoe office, learn about the MNO and the history of the Métis people, meet members of the Barrie South Simcoe Métis Council and MNO staff from the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program.

Doors Open Barrie is supported by Creative Barrie, the cultural development branch of the Economic & Creative Development Department. This year, Doors Open Barrie is incorporated into the City’s Culture Days programming. When paired with Culture Days, it provides a unique opportunity to present free, hands-on arts activities in Doors Open sites, giving residents and visitors a chance to learn about Barrie’s arts, heritage and business community.
