Opened in the historical Five Points (Simcoe Hotel) building, it serves Irish inspired dishes like smoked salmon boxty, gourmet burgers and creative pub fare. Owned by a native of Northern Ireland, McFinn’s boasts unique architecture and a welcoming atmosphere that has long since been a Barrie landmark. The Simcoe Hotel building is a flatiron building, originally built in 1856. A renovation was designed by architect Michael Shanacy in 1877.

This year, Doors Open Barrie is incorporated into the City’s Culture Days programming. When paired with Culture Days, it provides a unique opportunity to present free, hands-on arts activities in Doors Open sites, giving residents and visitors a chance to learn about Barrie’s arts, heritage and business community.
