Health and Safety Branch
Workplace accident and illness prevention is accomplished by the promotion of the internal responsibility system, hazard and accident prevention initiatives, health and safety related training, inspections, incident investigation, driver education and mobile equipment training, ergonomic assessments, and related recommendations.
HR's Health and Safety branch works to manage illness and injury from the first day right through to return to either full or accommodation duties. The branch also includes the Disability Management processes and is responsible for processing all workers’ compensation claims and providing support in all modified work programs for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. This branch also includes accessibility and AODA compliance.
People and Partnerships Branch
The People and Partnerships Branch is responsible for providing information, advice and guidance to employees at all levels with regards to work related matters including employee and labour relations, collective bargaining, collective agreement interpretation, workplace investigations, performance management, compensation, job evaluation and the recruitment and selection process. We also work closely with our bargaining unit representatives to maintain respectful working relationships.
Organization Development and Employee Experience Branch
The Organization Development and Employee Experience Branch creates a workplace where employees feel supported, connected, and empowered to thrive. The team delivers the programs and tools that shape culture, strengthen leadership, and enhance every stage of the employee journey.
Their work includes learning and development, organizational effectiveness, wellness initiatives, and programs that build engagement, belonging, and recognition. The team also oversee employee benefits, HRIS, and HR technology to enable seamless, modern, and accessible people practices across the organization.
HR Administration Branch
The HR Administration team facilitates onboarding, corporate orientation, manages internal and external HR website content, employee files, and oversees large HR projects.
