City invites public feedback on Infrastructure Master Plans

Barrie, ON – The City of Barrie invites residents to provide their feedback on Master Plans for transportation, water, and wastewater. These plans will lay the foundation for the future of the City’s infrastructure as Barrie grows.

The Master Plans will identify required infrastructure investments to ensure that the City’s core services align with current needs and support planned growth. The plans address critical needs, environmental protection, and community concerns, while preserving natural resources and cultural heritage.

“These Master Plans are essential for guiding our City’s infrastructure planning,” said Kelly Oakley, Associate Director of Corporate Asset Management. “By involving the community in the process, we ensure that decisions reflect the needs of our residents now and into the future, as Barrie plans for growth.”

Residents can engage on the City’s Building Barrie platform and provide feedback on each of the plans, as they progress.
