(Barrie, ON) – The City of Barrie is seeking public feedback for future playground improvements at East Bayfield Park (99 Hanmer Street East) and Eastview Community Park (453 Grove Street East).
The playground improvements are part of the City's Annual Playground Revitalization Program, which aims to redevelop existing traditional play spaces. The goal is to meet the needs and interests of the community while offering new and engaging experiences for all visitors, and work to enhance accessibility.
To gather public feedback on these two park playgrounds, residents are invited to watch the work-at-your-own pace interactive presentations, view the preliminary concepts, and then answer the questions in the survey. The presentations and surveys can be accessed at the following links:
- Eastview Park: buildingbarrie.ca/EastviewPark
- East Bayfield Park: buildingbarrie.ca/EastBayfieldPark
Feedback will be gathered and used when considering the new park designs. Final playground concepts will be shared at a later date. It is anticipated that Eastview Park construction will happen in 2024, while East Bayfield Park construction will occur the following year (2025).
Public input is welcomed until December 1, 2023.
